Update: The Mock City Meeting took place on Tuesday. I was only able to get a couple of snaps off as I was watching from the audience this time. Check back later for the air date for the meeting and the video!



This Tuesday, April 24th, government students from Jefferson and Westmoor High School will participate in Daly City's annual Students in Local Government "Mock City" program, which places high school government students into the roles of government officials, including councilmember positions and heads of various city departments, such as Fire, Water and Wastewater Management, and Parks and Recreation.

Over the past several weeks, the students have been learning about the various functions and roles of the different departments of civic government, and have put together a budget proposal that will be discussed at the Mock City meeting this Tuesday.
