On Thursday evening, November 8, 2007, at the Basque Cultural Center of South San Francisco, Westmoor High School Math Department Chair and math teacher, Jeff Speranza, was one of the nine teachers in the Bay Area recognized by the California League of High Schools as an Educator of the Year. Principal Dick Morosi called Mr. Speranza a superior teacher and the consummate professional.
